Waded though lots of paperwork and tax returns (finally done!), ate well, and had dinner out with the family.
Breakfast: Nutty granola and milk Lunch: Bacon and eggs Mid afternoon: I was hungry, and knew it would be late before we had dinner as we needed to wait for the girls to finish work, so I had two pieces of gluten-free toast with peanut butter and a sliced banana. Dinner: the family went to Gengy's Mongolian restaurant to celebrate our middle child's 20th birthday. Can't believe I have three kids in their 20's now, and only two teenagers left! This style of restaurant is good with strict diets, as you pick up a bowl, assemble your own dinner from an array of meats, vegetables, oils, spices etc, and they cook it individually for you. I had two plates of meat and veges - all I could eat. Yum! I mostly stuck with the low-salicylate choices such as onions, cabbage (red and green), beans, sunflower oil, salt plus chicken or lamb, but I did have a little bacon and a few broccoli florets and a few slices of mushrooms, and some carrots. |
Exercise: none - after almost no sleep the night before, and it raining again, I just couldn't be bothered.
How I feel: exhausted all day thanks to the previous night, but this night I sleep much better, though a bit patchily. No potatoes and limited salicylates makes a difference!
