Friday I meant to go grocery shopping, but slept so badly the night before that I didn't. I spent a lot of time on phone calls, housework and menu planning instead.
Breakfast: none. I attempted to go for a walk before breakfast, but halfway up the drive discovered our ram tangled in wire. By the time I'd rescued him, taken care of some other sheep issues, and made another false start, I finally did get a walk in. When I got back it was practically lunch time, so I skipped breakfast. Lunch: Bacon and eggs Snacks: none Dinner: The rest of the family had Tender Beef Stew with brown rice and peas, but as I now know it would keep me awake, I had left over Baked Pumpkin Soup with some mozzarella cheese (we're run out of Colby) and Greek yoghurt - a couple of soup mugs full. |
Exercise: a 30 min walk, when I finally got away from sheep and dogs and other things
How I feel: tired and a bit head-achy after poor sleep the night before.
Other food prep: I worked on a menu plan and shopping list for the next two weeks. The best way to save time and money is to plan out menus, and also know exactly what you're shopping for. I'll share more about this in a separate post.
