I had to spend the morning in town, and had a lot of computer work to do in the afternoon. I did go for a walk, and had no problem eating right.
Breakfast: Buckwheat Granola and milk Lunch: Bacon & eggs Snack: a couple of handfuls of roasted nuts while in town - one of cashews and one of pistachios. Dinner: Sweet Potatoes to Die For and steamed broccoli |
Exercise: a 30 minute walk first thing in the morning
How I feel: Good - slept pretty well. Have noticed that my regular heart palpitations seem to be almost completely gone. I started having them 10 or so years ago, when I also suffered severe insomnia and then depression as a result. They improved as I got better, but never went away entirely. Being diagnosed with Hashimoto's autoimmune thyroid disease and going on medication also helped improve it. However, heart palpitations have still been an almost constant issue for me, and in the last 12 months or so they've been consistently bad, happening multiple times a day. Since we went off sugar and gluten, I think it's happened maybe 2-3 times over the last 2 weeks. And I can't be sure as I wasn't thinking of this then, but I suspect they may have been linked to the times I ate meals higher in sugars/carbs - eg tomatoes or potatoes. I'll be paying more attention next time.
