Friday was a very busy day, but on the food front it went well, even though my husband and I went out to dinner in celebration of our 26th Wedding Anniversary which was this week.
Breakfast: Spiced Coco-nutty Granola & full cream milk
Lunch: A salad - salad greens plus cottage cheese, tomato guacamole, honey-mustard dressing, and a little grated cheese.
Snack: Two rice crackers with cream cheese and some extra tomato guacamole.

Dinner: My husband and I went out for dinner to Gengy's Mongolian BBQ Buffet in Palmerston North. This is our new favourite restaurant - all you can eat for $29.95, and best of all, it's easy to eat right, since basically you pick up a small bowl, fill it with a self-chosen selection of meats or seafood, veges, oils, spices, dressings etc. Then you hand it to one of the guys manning the huge cooking surface, and watch as they cook it for you, and hand it back on a plate. There is also a salad bar, soups, nibbles, and desserts, but those have less possibilities for our purposes. So, last night, I had two plates of meat and veges - the first was beef & bacon with tomatoes, broccoli, onions, lots of mushrooms, a few other veges, olive oil, salt and garlic. The second was chicken & bacon with baby corn, red cabbage, tomato, onion, broccoli, garlic oil and ginger. Yum! I had a small selection from the salad & nibbles bar too - 1/2 a boiled egg, a few fries, a couple of pieces of sushi. The meat and veges were better. :-) I contemplated another round, but I was full. I think my stomach is shrinking already! We drank only the free iced water with our meal.
Other food prep: I didn't have time for much else today; I just rinsed the buckwheat that is sprouting in colanders. I also stopped by the supermarket on the way home last night for some more tomatoes and salad greens, and picked up a pack of chicken breasts on special.
How I feel: Good! No issues at all. I even slept somewhat better last night - though it was a bit on and off, I got more hours of sleep than I have in a while without sleeping pills.
